HAPPY DOG, SAD FACE

September 2021

We feel so grateful to have spent some extra time with Black Dub AKA Séamus Quigley Dub Dub.  The most gorgeous, gentle, laidback water baby.  He formed a wonderful bond with Sky and his Mum and Sister; and we loved watching them play rough & tumble together!  We'll miss him.

Séamus is named after Black Dub near Glen Helen; one of our favourite places in the Isle of Man.  The name also perfectly reflects both his colour and personality.  Still waters run deep.  And he has been fascinated by the wet stuff since his first water bowl!

A deep thinker, Séamus often looks solemn and pensive, but is actually a happy soul - just like Clodagh.  We're thrilled that he has gone to his forever home, with his lovely owner Kim.  He will have the best of both worlds, with the beautiful Kent countryside and beaches on his doorstep.

We wish them many, many happy years together.  And we look forward to all the Pupdates and photos!

He already means the world to me.  I can't imagine life without him...

Séamus has settled in wonderfully.  According to Kim, their home now resembles a small pet shop, with stacks of dog treats and a large basket full of toys.  Séamus has already selected a few favourites, but still opts for Kim's slippers as a comforter.  Such a soppy date.  It must be love!  He also has a plush new bed for his important chill time.

Lucky Séamus has enjoyed some panoramic walks, Glen style.  Kim has discovered that a quick scoot to the post box is no longer possible, with one affable and inquisitive Glen of Imaal terrier in tow!  Scents must be sniffed, objects investigated; dogs and humans greeted.  And then, perhaps, a moment to rest and reflect?  No rush.

Séamus has just enjoyed his first beach walk!  He managed a brief doggy paddle at the water's edge.  And he had fun beachcombing for potential treasure, as Glens do.

While Séamus initially greets other dogs with an enthusiastic wag of the tail, he is slightly defensive and shy when they approach.  Kim has enrolled him in Puppy School, which we're sure will help build his confidence.  He is so affectionate and soft-natured.

Big thanks to Kim for these fabulous photos:

Séamus enjoyed a busy festive season spent socialising with the fam.  He and Millie are thick as thieves; and gentle Dub Dub was happy to share his expansive toy collection with a small human!  Such a polite young Glen.

A quick learner, Séamus graduated from Doggy School with flying colours.  He continues to gain in confidence and loves his windy, winter walks.

Massive thanks to Kim for all the lovely photos:
